Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai Balika Inter College, Lakhimpur has its origin in the year 1971 when Sarojini Gupta Estd. Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai Shishu Vidyalaya in memory of her father Kunwar Khushwaqt Rai, a freedom fighter, & Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha 1957-62. Initially, the school started with 5 students in one room and at one time had over 4000 students spread across the main campus and three branches.

Today it is a well-known and a trusted intermediate college for girls offering quality affordable education to girls from all socio-economic backgrounds.

Our vision is to empower girls with knowledge, skills and strong moral values so that they can become confident, capable and responsible citizens and contribute positively to society.
